Muscle Development Programs: P90X vs. TRX : Reviewed / Compared

In this report

When people are looking to purchase a muscle building program they often look for the one which doesn't require much effort. Sadly these programs won't get you the results you are looking for. Both the P90X and TRX will give you amazing results if effort is put in. The P90X is the hardest program on the market which will require you to give it your all for 90 Days. After each workout your muscles will be worked more than ever before. Unlike P90X TRX can work with your schedule and you can decide to do the workouts whenever it's possible for you. It can be attached in less than 2 minutes and is very easy to use.

Of all the programs out there P90X is by far the best. With 12 DVDs the 90 day program will get you in very good shape along with significant weight loss. Before I begin the review I want to let you know if you are not in adequate shape this will be very hard. If you don't think you are ready to use it I recommend starting with an easier program.

Although it is the best program out there it is also the most expensive. Depending on where you want to buy it you will end up paying 115-$160 for it. Other programs often only cost 30-$50 so if you are on a budget this may not be the right program. If you do choose this program be careful where you buy it from. Websites have been known to illegally copy and sell the program so your safest bet is to purchase it directly from

Why buy P90X?

The reason P90x works is through the idea of muscle confusion. The workouts are changing every day to keep your body guessing. This means your muscles are constantly trying to keep up with you. When using muscle confusion you never plateau you only grow stronger. Other programs keep you on the same schedule every day throughout the program. Unlike these programs P90X puts you through three phases. Each phase lasts 4 weeks. The first 3 are going to require you to push yourself to the limit every day. The fourth week is a recovery week where you focus on stretching, and yoga.

When you buy P90X you don't only get the DVD's you also get a nutritional guide which tells you what to eat each day, a personal workout calendar, and your own personal trainer. They will email back and forth with you throughout the program to motivate you and make sure you get the most out of your workouts. The nutritional guide is filled with great recipes which not only taste good but are going to have a huge effect on your results.

Who would like P90X?

P90X is not for everyone. The workouts are extremely intense and many people may not be able to handle it. If you are going to do P90X make sure you pass the fit test which you can find in the booklet they give you when you order the product. If you are unable to complete the exercises in the booklet then P90X is not for you. If you are looking to lose weight and gain huge amounts of muscle than I would highly suggest buying P90X.

#2 - TRX Suspension Training

TRX Suspension Training is a great fitness program that will help you build significant amounts of muscle. It comes packed with a Suspension Trainer, 65 minute training DVD, 36 page workout guide, 2 bonus workouts, and a Mesh carry bag. It will work for anyone who is looking to build muscle.

Like P90X TRX suspension training is not a very cheap. Although it is a good program you will be paying 160-$180 for it. If you are short on money than this is probably not the program for you. To get the results possible from this program you will have to invest a lot of money.

Why TRX Suspension?

Created by former Navy Seal Randy Hetrick TRX suspension can do over 300 workouts, Using the bands you can do workouts such as pushups, leg lifts, squats, pull ups, and many more. You can workout your whole body in just 30 minutes. Instead of spending hours in the gym this will be economical, and also save time. All you have to do is hang it over your door and you can start trainging there.  With help from the DVD you can learn all of the exercises possible with the TRX.

Along with this you can join the online community which will help you with your goals and also teach you new ways to use your TRX.

Who Would Like TRX?

If you are looking to get in great shape but do not have hours each day to put in because of work, school, etc. This is a great program. With TRX you are on your own schedule. It works with anyone and you are guaranteed to see amazing results. If you want to gain more muscle without spending hours each day on it than I recommend this program.

The Bottom Line

The bottom line: if you can put in effort day in and day out then P90X is for you. In the beginning it will seem impossible for you but if you stick with it you won't believe your results. Your trainer will push you to your max every day to make sure you get in the best shape of your life. If you want to gain muscle but are unable to keep up with P90X or do not have time then TRX is great for you. You can do many exercises with the bands which are all shown in the workout booklet. Spend 30 minutes on this a few times a week and you will see adequate results in no time.
